Woo hoo!

It's only been three months since I last wrote. Trips to Costa Rica, The Domincan Republic, Mexico, marathon training, a boyfriend, and grad school have gotten in the way, I suppose. All relevant posting topics, but I just don't have time to write.

The title is to celebrate the completion of my second marathon yesterday! This was the Five Points of Life marathon here in Gainesville, and I finished with a time of 4:15:14. Sadly, no 47s in this run. I will post pictures as soon as I get them. I'm walking around like an old person today, but the run felt better than my first marathon, and I cut 18 minutes off my time. It was great to run in a local race and have friends out on the course to support me. The weather was a bit on the hot side, I think over 70F when I finished. I was drinking so much that I had to stop at a port-a-potty around mile 14. I thought I'd go back to just half marathons after this races, but being the perfectionist I am, I'd like to run another to get under four hours. We'll see, as it probably won't be until next year.
