At home?
I'm at home in Idaho. This has been the most foreign feeling I've had coming home, and it made me realize how settled in Gainesville I had become. I suppose each year I feel a little more independent in my life, so I guess it is the strangeness of being an adult back in my parents' home. Even my bed looked unfamiliar, though it was the same bed I had grown up sleeping in. But in the past few days I've been remembering some of the things I like about Moscow: the small, safe community, easy to bike in, pretty country roads to run along, a green mountain in the background, a local farmer's market, a great food co-op, etc. And I've been truly giving myself relaxing time: I haven't been doing work, just catching up on sleep, email, movies, and sorting through old things a bit and purging as much as I can.
I gave Welby a serious bath yesterday. He doesn't tend to clean himself as frequently as the princess, Kiki, so he had a bit of dandruff and oily fur. He is a tolerant cat, but he certainly wasn't pleased by the bath and he doesn't look like he weighs a whopping 14 pounds in this picture, either.
I think he has since forgiven me.

That is one seriously unhappy looking, wet cat.
