07/07/07

Last year I mentioned my excitement for 07/07/07 in my post about the word for a fear of three 6's. (Scroll down to the bottom of the page to find the entry once you click the link.)

I was still excited about the day this year, so Sunshine and I decided to host a good luck potluck on Saturday. I was afraid no one from Zoology would come because everyone seems to be in the field, but we had a good turnout: 14 I think and probably 15 other people, including neighbors and friends of Sunshine. Lots of good food was enjoyed by all, and we toasted to good luck at 7:07 pm.

Apparently, there were lots of weddings on Saturday as well. I'm not sure it's a good idea if they felt the need to start their life together with a bit of good luck, or maybe--like me--they just think it's a fun date to acknowledge.
