Red-eyed But Still Awake

I left my home in Moscow at 4:00pm, July 3. I reached my destination (Andrea's apartment in New Haven, CT) at 3:00pm, July 4 (today). And I was reminded today why most people try to avoid red-eye flights. Man, they suck. And the airports suck because they don't make chairs that allow you to lie down. Instead they put arm rests in between each chair so it is impossible to spread comfortably. I had two 3-hour layovers in Seattle and Dallas where I managed to find a bench and a patch of ground to rest horizontally. Good thing I have the ability to sleep anywhere. The best part of my day was the head rest on my third flight that had folding flaps that extend on either side of your head so you don't do the bobble-head nap-thing the entire flight. Props to whoever patented those.
