Idaho oh Idaho

This was the sunrise in Atlanta this morning. I left Gainesville in the 60 degree nonhours of the night wearing a t-shirt and jeans but with sweater and winter jacket in tow. I feel asleep on the flights before they even took off with a gaping mouth and lolling head (my slight narcolepsy). I couldn't pull myself out of the sleep that made me dream to accept anything when the drink and snack carts rolled by. I hadn't realized how sleep-deprived the semester made me until last week when I had attended a TA meeting and a lab meeting one morning, and only after those meetings did I look in the mirror and realize I had my sweater on backwards.

But I'm back in the land of two-lane roads, Subarus, flannel sheets, and crisp, clear air. It feels like home.

I hear ya. Lovely picture, by the way! And are you quoting the Josh Ritter song?

Yes, way to recognize Josh Ritter lyrics! Did you know he was number one on Stephen King's music list this year?
