It's Official
I completed the last step on my way to becoming a Florida resident last week: I got Florida plates. Or plate, as it may be. Florida doesn't seem to think a front plate is necessary. And my reluctance to part with my Idaho identity was allayed by the fact that I didn't have to get the ordinary Florida orange plate, but rather I could have a sea turtle on my car.

Hannah! I am so pleased you didn't get the regular Florida license plate, because 1) I instinctively associate it with bad drivers and 2) you know how opinionated I am about the appearance of license plates, and I don't like Florida's. However, I am so pleased by the fact that they have a specialty plate that matches your, well, specialty! Very nice.
